Terms of Use
These Terms govern your access to and use of Velox, including our website, applications, club-management tools, and related services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Velox, including the Velox website, applications, services, features, and related software (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is operated by VeloxIo, referred to in these Terms as "Velox", "we", "us", or "our".
By creating an account, accessing the Service, or using any Velox feature, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
If you use Velox on behalf of a club, organization, business, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. About Velox
Velox is a software platform designed to help shooting-sport clubs, organizers, members, and participants manage their activities.
- Club membership and administration
- Training sessions and competitions
- Event registration and participant management
- Squad allocation and waitlists
- Club communications and announcements
- Attendance and activity records
- Reporting and administrative workflows
- Payments and subscriptions, where available
- Integrations with third-party services and scoring platforms
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. Where required by applicable law, minors may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
When creating and maintaining an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Maintain the security of your account
- Promptly update information that becomes inaccurate
- Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization
4. Club and Organization Accounts
Certain Velox features allow clubs and organizations to manage members, administrators, coaches, sessions, registrations, announcements, reports, payments, and other club activities.
A person creating, claiming, administering, or acting through a club account represents that they have authority to act on behalf of that club.
Clubs remain responsible for:
- The accuracy of information they publish through Velox
- Determining membership and participation eligibility
- Event rules, capacity, schedules, fees, and cancellation policies
- Assigning and managing authorized administrators
- Compliance with applicable law, governing-body rules, insurance requirements, and range safety standards
- Records they are legally required to retain
5. Sessions, Events, Registrations, Squads, and Waitlists
Clubs may use Velox to publish sessions, training activities, competitions, or other events and allow users to register for them.
A registration confirmation through Velox only confirms that the registration has been recorded according to the configuration provided by the relevant club.
It does not by itself guarantee:
- Admission to a range or facility
- Eligibility to participate
- Compliance with licensing, certification, membership, or governing-body requirements
- Availability of equipment or facilities
- That an event will proceed as scheduled
6. Shooting-Sport Activities and Safety
Nothing displayed through Velox replaces applicable law, licensing requirements, range rules, competition rules, safety procedures, or instructions given by authorized range personnel.
Participation in shooting sports involves inherent risks. Clubs, organizers, range operators, and participants remain responsible for assessing and managing those risks.
7. Memberships
Clubs may use Velox to administer memberships, applications, renewals, approvals, membership status, and related records. Velox facilitates these processes but does not independently grant or revoke membership in a club.
8. Payments
Club subscriptions to Velox
Certain functionality may require a paid Velox subscription. Pricing, billing frequency, included features, limits, and applicable taxes will be displayed before purchase or otherwise agreed with the subscribing organization.
Event and membership payments
Velox may allow clubs to collect payments relating to events, memberships, training sessions, or other services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the underlying activity is provided by the relevant club or organizer, not Velox.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe and may be subject to their own terms and policies.
9. Reports, Records, and Compliance Features
Velox may provide attendance records, activity records, round-count reports, exports, forms, and other tools intended to assist clubs with administrative or regulatory workflows.
10. Communications and Notifications
Velox may send notifications relating to registrations, waitlists, announcements, memberships, reports, payments, account security, or other Service activity.
Delivery is not guaranteed. Users should not rely solely on Velox notifications where timely confirmation is important.
11. User and Club Content
Users and clubs may submit information through the Service, including descriptions, announcements, files, images, event information, and other content.
You retain ownership of content you are entitled to own. By submitting content, you grant Velox the rights reasonably necessary to host, process, store, and display that content in order to provide the Service.
12. Acceptable Use
You may not use Velox to:
- Violate applicable law
- Access systems, accounts, or data without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to bypass security or access controls
- Introduce malware or malicious code
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Submit fraudulent registrations, payments, or records
- Send spam, harassment, or abusive communications
- Misuse personal information obtained through the Service
13. Third-Party Services and Integrations
Velox may integrate with payment processors, scoring platforms, authentication providers, analytics providers, and other third-party services.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Velox cannot guarantee their continued availability, accuracy, or compatibility.
14. Intellectual Property
The Velox Service, including its software, interface, visual design, branding, documentation, and original content, is owned by Velox or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
15. Privacy and Data Protection
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Velox Privacy Policy.
16. Availability and Changes to the Service
We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may be modified, added, removed, or discontinued over time.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, security risks, non-payment, or legal requirements.
18. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as available" basis.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Velox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, organizations and users acting in an organizational or commercial capacity agree to indemnify Velox against certain third-party claims arising from unlawful use of the Service, content they provide, or services and events they organize.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where required, we will provide reasonable LegalNotice of material changes.
22. General Terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
